A
ll six girls were put on stage and confronted with their fear. They cried,
they screamed and they ran out of the studio, terrorized. Ananda herself doubted
Michael could cure their lifelong phobia's. Given only 10 minutes for each
girl, Michael utililized several different methods, depending on the situation.
On January 7, 2002, Michael C. Anthony appeared
in New York City on The Ananda Lewis Show.
CAN HYPNOSIS CURE PHOBIAS?
Michael was put to the test. Six girls from around the country with life long
phobia's were flown to New York to meet with Michael.
Valerie
had Ranidaphobia, which is a fear of frogs. She
was afraid of frogs because her father would hide them in his lunchbox and playfully
scare her when she was a child. She couldn't even look at a picture of a frog
for over 30 years. When the Ananda Lewis show brought the frog out that she
previously screamed at, she eagerly held out her hand and was laughing at how
cute it was.
Laura
had Ophidiophobia, which is a
fear of snakes. Her unbelievable fear
of snakes kept her from enjoying the
outdoors in her hometown in Utah.
She came out from meeting with
Michael totally cured. They brought out
a snake and she let it slither through
her fingers and arms! Laura's
husband in the studio audience
couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Quindora
had a fear of Puppet people, or people who wear mascot or character
costumes. She was afraid of costumed puppet people since she was a child. After
Michael's visit, Quindora hugged 2 costumed people and laughed through the whole
thing.
Angela
had Doraphobia, which is a fear of fur. She was
so afraid of fur because her brother used to hide fur in her bed to scare her.
Angela was petrified of fur on coats, as well as the fur on live animals. She
wouldn't touch a cat or dog, or any other animal with fur. Angela was totally
cured as well. During the show she ran her hands though a fur coat, wore a fur
hat and held on to a live angora rabbit.
Maria
had Acrophobia, which is a fear of heights. She
was taken to the rooftop of the Holiday Inn in Midtown Manhattan and put to
the test. She passed with flying colors, laughing and bending over the railing.
Jenifer
had Arachnophobia, which is a fear of spiders.
She couldn't even say the word spider without shaking, and thought
she would rather die than be in a room full of spiders. Now she is totally cured
and can play with spiders without a sweat!
